Identification of thematic working groups.

9:00 – 9:30: A card writing exercise, which involves the entire group, will be conducted in order to define a GOAL and PURPOSE of the Post-Harvest Initiative for the CAC region. Participants are to write down what they believe are key issues to be addressed. These will be presented to the group on 10:00 for consensus.

9:30 – 10-00: A card writing exercise will be conducted in order to identify strategic priorities for the region. Each individual will be requested to write down five priority areas for post-harvest development in the region.

10:00 – 10:30: Cards will be grouped in order to identify themes for working groups, and results will be presented.

10:30 – 10:40: Formation of thematic groups

10:40 – 11:00: Coffee break

11:00 – 12:30. WORKING GROUPS SESSION 3:

Identification of main priorities with each thematic area.

Each group will have one chair person.

12:30 – 14:00. WORKING GROUP SESSION 4. Formulation of objectives and activities.

The thematic groups will meet again to discuss how the priorities identified may be addressed.

14:00 – 15:30: Lunch

15:30 – 16:30: Presentation of working groups results and discussion.

16:30 – 18:00: General discussion, conclusions, cross-cutting issues and recommendations to be entered into the regional report.
